The DF Consulting Structural Engineers is an MDOT certified minority (MBE) and disadvantaged (DBE) women owned small business and was established by founding principal Dicle Firat in 2012 to provide high quality consulting structural engineering services. 

Dicle Firat, as a founding principal with more than 30 years of specialized experience in designing and managing significant mixed use, industrial, high and low-rise office and residential, retail, commercial and parking garage structures, has been providing a creative and cost-effective solution to the design and management of structural projects. Her experience in the protective design engineering field and in product development for extreme loading design provides a significant contribution to our customer services. 

Ms. Firat earned her Master of Science degree from Istanbul Technical University Institute of Science and Technology in 1998 and her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey in 1993.
